HELLO! I'M

Throughout her extensive 25-year career as a public speaker and educator collaborating with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and universities, Larissa has developed a unique formula. This formula blends Laughter, Movement, and Play into her presentations and workshops for an engaging experience.

With a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia University, specializing in environmental and social justice, Larissa is dedicated to addressing disparities and injustices earnestly. While the work is serious, she advocates for incorporating more laughter, movement, and play into daily routines.

Since becoming a certified aerobics instructor in 1998, she has kept pace with all movement trends and integrated the latest research findings into her sessions. Studies indicate that movement enhances focus, reduces stress, and boosts information retention.

Trained as a Laughter Teacher and Leader by the renowned Dr. Madan Kataria himself, Larissa leverages this expertise to alleviate stress, uplift moods, strengthen bonds, attract others, foster teamwork, and enhance group cohesion.

Recognizing the significance of play in maintaining functionality during stressful times, preventing memory decline, enhancing relationships and connections, and promoting teamwork, Larissa emphasizes its importance in daily life.

Larissa's innovative approach to public speaking and education, blending Laughter, Movement, and Play, has proven to be a powerful tool for engagement and learning.

ABOUT ME

From fitness and dance, to team building, to public speaking, and even reading to kids...

Work with me to LAUGH, MOVE, PLAY, AND MUCH MORE!

Fun facts about me...

Larissa or la risa means laughter in Spanish and French. It is thought to be derived from the Latin hilaris, which means cheerful. And with a name like that, how can you not radiate positivity and happiness?

I can write forward with my left hand and backward with my right hand at the same time. My superpower is clearly coordination!

I've traveled to more than 20 different countries including Haiti, Peru, South Africa, China, Jamaica, Canada, and Switzerland. And in ten years, I've lived in 10 different states!

I've been AFAA certified since 1998 and have taught literally hundreds of group fitness classes! I've also danced since I was old enough to walk and even danced at Disney World.

I absolutely love the smell of skunks and go bananas anytime I see a black squirrel!

My favorite food is most definitely BROCCOLI.
